Sprill - The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle Review
Search the Web Sprill - The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle
This game is definitely geared for very young children. I would say that three to five year olds would enjoy Sprill - The Mystery of the Bermuda Triangle best. Some reading skills are involved as kids will have to know what is on the list of items "Sprill" wants them to find. It works as an introduction to adventure and scavenger hunt games for the little ones.
The pictures are large and easy to see. The objects that you are expected to find are not difficult to see and clicking on them will let you know (let the kids know) that if it isn't the right one, a red "x" will pop up and they have to keep looking. Sprill is the character the kids are guiding through shipwrecks and areas in the Bermuda Triangle to unlock its secrets, and he gives hints along the way about where to go next.
There's a little science involved and the scanning for objects teaches little kids how to scan a page in pre-reading skills. Somewhat educational while still entertaining, I think this would also work in a preschool teacher's classroom as a fun learning game with an introduction to what computers can be used for, although most kids these days have computers figured out before they can walk.
